  • Venetian glass has been produced in Venice, typically on the island of Murano since the 13th century. Today, Murano is well known for its production of ornate distinctive, and high-quality art glass.The Michele collection honors the owner of a traditional family-owned business that has operated in Murano for decades. Michele was raised in the house that, today, hosts his own factory.

    Michele is Akua Objects' most Venetian inspired collection, introducing Italian carafes, vases and bowls with a poetic reference. All objects are original creations made strictly by hand by expert artisans, according to the ancient Murano tradition.

Akua Objects’ motivation is to create poetic tableware that makes one connect with the objects on an emotional level and create new memories and associations.

With each object named after a person who has made an impact on Akua Objects' design heritage, the objects honor memories of specific people, inviting the user to think more of the glass than just an object.
